Inebrya/Ice Cream - Super Light Natural Super Platinum

Hello dolls, hope you're having a good (or at least bearable) mid-week.  I was instagramming (@janmychan) the below photo when I realized that I had forgotten about my hair dye post. So without further ado, here it is!
This is my current hair colour in all it's glory, outdoors. I always like to go a few shades lighter for the summer to liven and brighten up my complexion.  The shade that I was used was (as you can guess by the title) Super Light Natural Super Platinum by the brand Ice Cream.  I picked mine up at shoppers for under $10.
It seems a little scary because (at least according to the brand), it is a shade 11.  But teamed up with a 30 vol cream developer, it manages to force my stubborn dark hair to change colours.  I've dyed my hair with Ice Cream dyes for the past 4 years, and they never fail to impress me.  Note: my hair has been previously dyed multiple times.

Gorgeous packaging that always makes me come back for more!

The dye itself comes out quite bright in colour, but once you mix it with the developer (below) you can see that it becomes a very pale yellow.  The recommended dye:developer ratio is 1:1, but I usually do a little more developer because I have such thick hair.

Prepped with gloves, it's APPLICATION TIME!  I found what works best for me is:
1. Apply to roots/re-growth area and wait about 20-25 minutes.
2. Then mix another batch of hair dye (it will lose its efficacy when it becomes exposed to long to air) and apply to ROOTS + ENDS and wait another 45 minutes.

I know that it's way longer than the recommended time, but my hair needs a little urging before it wants to take up the dye, and the extended time frame allows the dye to "marinate" and work its magic.

What colour's your 'do lately?
-J
