Green Smoothies

HeyHey!
how is everybody ? For the month of July, I've been trying to incorporate green smoothies into my diet. I prep what I can the night before (aka wash the greens and wash+wash fruit that won't ozidize overnight). That way I only have to wake up about 15 mins earlier than usual to finish the remaining fruit and blend everything together. I find that this makes it harder to skip...hey!  a girl's gotta get her beauty sleep =P.  At the beginning, I followed simplegreensmoothie's recipes to figure out what I liked and didn't like. After getting a feel for it....you can make up your own !
This was the one I had this morning -- blueberry, banana, avocado, spinach and soy milk. Paired with toast and nutella, this morning was bliss. :)
Have you gone green yet?

Tangerines and Tulips

Bonjour! Comment ca va?
Today was horrendously hot outside, but since I was working inside all day, decided to throw on a comfy knit with a pair of loose floral shorts to seal the deal. I'm loving the baggy top + loose bottoms combo because I frankly can't be bothered with tight clothing in the summer haha.

FOTD:
Eyeliner: MUFE Aqua Eyes - 01
Mascara: Maybelline Colossal
Foundation: Marcelle Hydra-C Radiance + Lancome Renergie Lift Makeup

After falling in love with the tv series, my friend kindly lent me the first book. It's long, but I'm working through it!!

home cooked meal ♡

Evening dolls!
My bf was pretty busy with work for the past little while so this weekend, I went over to my bf's house and we just chilled. One of the things we really like to do together is cook. We love to try out new recipes,  new combinations and new culinary techniques!  Sounds a little dorky haha, but you gotta do what makes you happy right? ; P
The entree on the menu was a Deconstructed Hot Pot Bibimbap.
A rice base with assorted veggies (onions,  carrots, cucumber and asparagus) topped with lamb (we wanted really thin slices so we opted for hot pot lamb).  Just for kicks it was served with a side of gouda.  Delish !

Inebrya/Ice Cream - Super Light Natural Super Platinum

Hello dolls, hope you're having a good (or at least bearable) mid-week.  I was instagramming (@janmychan) the below photo when I realized that I had forgotten about my hair dye post. So without further ado, here it is!
This is my current hair colour in all it's glory, outdoors. I always like to go a few shades lighter for the summer to liven and brighten up my complexion.  The shade that I was used was (as you can guess by the title) Super Light Natural Super Platinum by the brand Ice Cream.  I picked mine up at shoppers for under $10.
It seems a little scary because (at least according to the brand), it is a shade 11.  But teamed up with a 30 vol cream developer, it manages to force my stubborn dark hair to change colours.  I've dyed my hair with Ice Cream dyes for the past 4 years, and they never fail to impress me.  Note: my hair has been previously dyed multiple times.

Gorgeous packaging that always makes me come back for more!

The dye itself comes out quite bright in colour, but once you mix it with the developer (below) you can see that it becomes a very pale yellow.  The recommended dye:developer ratio is 1:1, but I usually do a little more developer because I have such thick hair.

Prepped with gloves, it's APPLICATION TIME!  I found what works best for me is:
1. Apply to roots/re-growth area and wait about 20-25 minutes.
2. Then mix another batch of hair dye (it will lose its efficacy when it becomes exposed to long to air) and apply to ROOTS + ENDS and wait another 45 minutes.

I know that it's way longer than the recommended time, but my hair needs a little urging before it wants to take up the dye, and the extended time frame allows the dye to "marinate" and work its magic.

What colour's your 'do lately?
